'STILLNESS IS A FICTION’

14TH OF JANUARY – 30TH OF JANUARY 2021

Throughout art history, artist collaborations have delivered iconic exhibitions and works of art. When two artists partner together, a common thread is woven between their practices, establishing a connection that otherwise may not have been realised. ‘Stillness Is A Fiction’ is a collaboration that considers the relationship between Anna Harrison’s evocative poetry and Matthew Graeme Johnson’s photographic calligraphies made by sun and sea. Uncovering the ever-present sensorial connections, the show is an ode to the ocean in all its forms. The artists worked in symbiosis to produce all of the works featured in the exhibition that traverse the universal language that occurs between humans and nature.

‘INTIMACY’
23RD OF JULY – 15TH OF AUGUST 2020

Intimacy considers the intricacies of human bonds and our entangled, intimate relations with beings and through objects. Consisting of 24 artworks by 24 different artists both represented and outside of the Gallery, the multidisciplinary exhibition features works that respond to a curatorial brief outlined by Gallery Director Jerico Tracy, which included a quote by Cuban-born American artist Felix Gonzalez-Torres — whose work explored themes of the public and private life, formation and decay.
